“Faithfulness in Witnessing”

Series: The Habits of Effective Christians
Habit 4, “Faithfulness in Witnessing
(Habit 1, Prayer; Habit 2, Bible Study; Habit 3, Worship)
Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:6-8
True Christian witnessing is being able to testify in word and deed
It’s true that our lives are the only Bible some people ever read.
If you’re familiar with your Bible you know that the words of Matthew 28:18-20 are called the Great Commission.
These words (The Great Commission) are important to us for three reasons.
First, these words are important because in Matthew’s gospel, they are the last words of Jesus.
Secondly, these words are important because they explain what followers of Jesus Christ are to do in the long period between his birth or first coming and his second coming.
Thirdly, these words are important because they apply without exception to all Christians at all times, in all places, in every possible situation.
