Luke 17:5-6 & Matthew 17:14-21
A journey starts with “Small Steps.”
There’s power in small steps…
Faith is like that. “If you have of a mustard seed, you can say to a mountain, MOVE from here to there,” and it will move (Matthew 17:20).
Don’t underestimate the power of little things.
We need to seed-size our faith…because there is power in seed-sized faith.
What do we do with the measure of faith God gives us?
1. Take our minds off ourselves, off other people and off the situation and focus on God.
2. Focus on building your own faith. The gift of faith God gives you is enough to build on.
3. Keep close fellowship with God.
4. Continue to work by love – develop this love in your life.
With “Small Steps,” with little minuscule faith, you can MOVE mountains.
The acrostic MOVE means:
M: Motivation is needed (Mark 11:24)
O: Obedience is needed (Philippians 2:8)
V: Vision is needed (Proverbs 29:18)
E: Endurance is needed (Hebrews 6:15)
What kind of mountains do you face?
Have you prayed about your mountains?
How strong is your faith?
Matthew 21:18-22, Jesus Curses a Fig Tree. (Matthew 21:22, “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.)
Proverbs 16:9, “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”
